ANDREA BARABAS
Founder & Doctor of Chiropractic
Hello! I'm Andrea, a registered Doctor of Chiropractic and founder of Herne Hill Chiropractic Clinic. I graduated with a First class Master’s degree in Chiropractic from the London South Bank University. I previously worked in the fitness industry as a Personal Trainer and Pilates Instructor, and it's where my interest in Chiropractic stems from. It has always been my passion to work with people and guide them on their health journey. Whether it is becoming pain free or achieving a specific goal, I believe it is possible through comprehensive Chiropractic care.
I treat individuals with diverse backgrounds. From office workers to weekend warriors and athletes, I am dedicated to help. I use treatment techniques that best suit my clients, which may be Chiropractic adjustments, joint mobilisations, soft tissue work and a bespoke exercise plan. I'm also trained in Dry Needling, the management of vertigo (BPPV), vestibular rehabilitation and jaw (TMJ) disorders.
In my approach I take into account my client’s exercise routine, nutrition, stress levels and sleep habits, because these are all influencing factors of the body’s healing process and response to treatment.
CHRIS PRUVEY
Physiotherapy & Musculoskeletal Specialist
Hello! I'm Chris, a Physiotherapist and Musculoskeletal Specialist. I qualified with a BSc hons Physiotherapy from the University of the West of England, Bristol in 2003 & gained experience within musculoskeletal, pain management, rheumatology and orthopaedic hospital departments within the NHS and various central London teaching hospitals. I completed my Masters in Sports & Exercise Medicine from Queen Mary's University of London in 2009 & have worked performing diagnostic imaging and musculoskeletal injections since this date.
I specialise in musculoskeletal ultrasound diagnostic scans and various types of ultrasound guided injections for my patients after an initial screening or consultation. I offer a One-Stop service encompassing an expert musculoskeletal physical examination and a diagnostic scan & if indicated, an ultrasound guided musculoskeletal injection in one appointment.
I also have a keen interest in technology to enable diagnostic evaluation and rehabilitation of musculoskeletal conditions. I will direct my patients towards various online rehabilitation applications when rehabilitation exercises may complement or be a more appropriate pathway than an ultrasound guided musculoskeletal injection.
